Devilish Presley - She's Not America Mp3
![]() Devilish Presley Band Bio: If you’re bored with straightforward Gothic Rock outfits who can’t see further than that hackneyed Sisters/Mission/Nephilim thing, if you’re frustrated by bland EBM merchants endlessly recycling a watered down VNV/Covenant/Apop sound - here’s something which, in this context, counts as new and cool. Paradoxically, given that Devilish Presley's influences are drawn from rock’s classic past, their presence here might just help to push things in a new, and definitely more rockin’, direction. - Devilish Presley Website Reviews: "I strongly suspect that if you cut Johnny Navarro and Jacqui Vixen in half you’d find they had 'Gonzoid' written through them like two sticks of Blackpool's finest. They’ve certainly made an album which comes roaring out of the traps like a crazed hound of rock 'n' roll. I believe you can only obtain the album at Devilish Presley gigs, or via the band's website. But it’s worth tracking down, just to invite a little freaked-out, rocked-up, glam-punk madness into your life. Standout tracks? Well, I keep on returning to the aforementioned 'She's Not America', a song which drives forward with such bug-eyed aggression it's impossible not to get swept along." - Starvox "If there ever was an antidote to pain... this band is it. They rock. They roll. They ROCK. Why, I wonder, did I fail to see them sooner than couple of weeks ago with Frankenstein Ah.. the regret! They're just FABULOUS. Brilliant. They make you want to pick up guitars and learn to rock with them." - Slashgoth "Let's cut straight to the chase, Devilish Presley offer nothing new to the Rock genre. They sound like a fusion of Placebo and The Cult. They play dirty electric guitars that no doubt go all the way to 11, and they are f*cking brilliant!" - Hard Wired My Two Cents: I really like this song. It has an energy that is just infectious. Plus any band named "Devilish Presley" has to be fun! Proving that "dark" bands don't have to be gloomy and slow. Further Reading: More tracks for download here. Here is an interview!
Comments:
This band IS the future...Johnnys vocals combined with the slaughter Jacqui commits on the guitar are incredible...Only two people in the band, and the soul of Marky Ramone/Clem Burke pouring out of the drum machine, AND TWO FRONT PEOPLE - HOW DO THEY MANAGE IT...
